The 2019 Conference of the American Medical Group Association – a unique gathering of executives from the nation’s leading healthcare organizations, medical groups, academic and faculty practices, IDNs, ACOs, and IPAs – was held from March 27th through 30th in the Washington, D.C. area’s Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Attended by 2000 participants, the conference packed 3 keynote addresses, 80 speakers, 40 peer-to-peer sessions, and an exhibit hall affording one-on-one meetings with the industry’s top decision makers.

Across the four days, conference attendees had multiple opportunities to network and discover the experiences of leaders and peers in applying novel strategies within their organizations. Discussions focused on the most relevant topic for healthcare leaders, and particularly on:

  • Leadership, governance, and culture
  • Technology and telemedicine
  • Patient-centered care
  • Operations and finance
  • Targeted industry concerns (e.g., Improving transparency in health care; Preventing physician burnout; Engaging physician leaders; Creating exceptional patient experiences; Managing revenue, costs, and operational improvement)

The Kinetix Group (TKG) contributed to the 2019 AMGA conference by hosting a panel discussion among 6 health system leaders who shared the organizational growing pains and achievements they had encountered in balancing effective, supportive patient care with value, efficiency, transparency, and profitability.
