Inspiration at Eyeforpharma 2016: Real World Evidence for Market Access Imperatives

By TKG Staff

The Eyeforpharma Real World Evidence & Market Access Summit, held November 9-10 in Philadelphia, proved to be another fantastic meeting of the minds in the healthcare field, boasting a diverse series of panels to generate ideas that will promote concrete action to enhance care delivery and patient engagement. Our healthcare experts speaking on TKG’s two panels highlighted key pharma industry issues that TKG helps our clients to address through proven marketing and consulting solutions.

Our first panel, Real World Evidence: Potential for Health System HEOR Partnerships, led by Dr. Charles Pollack (Thomas Jefferson University) and Jerry Penso (American Medical Group Association), presented TKG’s partnerships that have encouraged successful collaboration between health systems and Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) groups. TKG’s programs utilize care delivery risk management models, which require high-risk patient identification and the development of appropriate interventions. Both panelists outlined the critical success factors of such programs, which have become increasingly pivotal in today’s risk-sharing climate.

Our second panel, Volume to Value-Based Care Delivery, facilitated by Dr. David Carmouche (Ochsner Health Network), Dr. Terry McGeeney (Care Accountability, Inc.), and Kristen Shea (Remedy Partners), provided an overview of the complex challenges health systems face as they shift from volume to value. The life sciences audience was particularly interested in learning more about the impact of MACRA and alternative payment models on their customer stakeholders.
