Women’s Health research Collaborative (WHrC) members published an article titled “The Relationship Between Heavy Menstrual Bleeding, Iron Deficiency, and Iron Deficiency Anemia” in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
The paper seeks to raise individual, societal and professional awareness of these underrepresented women’s health issues. Additionally, it proposes recommendations to effect evidence-based change in clinical guidelines, shape healthcare policy and alleviate the burden on women, children and reproductive-aged girls.
