The Kinetix Group recently developed an interactive infographic designed to provide an overview of national quality initiatives to enhance patient care and reduce overall costs. We’ve linked ten major Quality Initiatives to the six National Quality Strategy (NQS) domains, which include Communication and Care Coordination, Effective Clinical Care, Efficiency and Cost Reduction, Patient Safety, Person and Caregiver-Centered Experience and Outcomes, and Population Health.
The NQS domains were developed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in 2011 in an effort to streamline the quality programs of public and private organizations and build upon the Triple Aim to address the most common health concerns patients face in the US. Our infographic acts as a comprehensive resource that analyzes several quality initiatives of interest to health professionals, external organizations, and life science companies. Users can compare quality initiatives across NQS domains to help identify operational gaps in health systems and practices to improve patient care. Within the infographic, users can hover over each block to see how many measures correspond to each Quality Initiative within a given NQS domain. The full list of measures for each Quality Initiative appear at the bottom of the page for greater detail.
